Dungannon's recent revival was unceremoniously ended as Limavady made it back-to-back league victories thanks to Saturday's win at Stangmore Park.

Ryan McIlmoyle had an early Limavady chance but Dwayne Nelson made the save while Dungannon's Shay Campbell headed wide at the other end.

McIlmoyle fired Limavady ahead from eight yards on 30 minutes.

A bit of United history
Limavady were formed in 1876 by Newtown limavady cricket club because they couldn't play cricket in the winter. Limavady played in the first ever Irish cup in the 1880 / 1881 season. Limavady's most memorable game was when they beat Everton 1-0 in merseyside with Joe Sherrard scoring the goal others where Orr Divine, (Bummer) Allen, William Brown, Tom Mc Clean, J Rankin and William Sherrard. In 1999 Eddie Seydak took over as manager. Limavady made the final step into the Daily Mirror Irish league preimer in 2003 . Tommy Wright was their manager. Limavady got to the semi finals of the Irish cup and finished 7th in the league in the 2003 / 2004 season. One of their most sussesful seasons ever.
